This was a great book that I read in one sitting. From the beginning it had me crying and sympathizing with Anna. I loved the conversations that Anna and Evan had and felt myself sitting there with them. It's a story about learning to trust, overcoming self-esteem issues, and forgiveness.
This the perfect book for all teens to read. The story is about self esteem and being comfortable with who you are on the inside. When this young girl is pair with the hot boy at school, he is forced to look deeper to she who is within the large body. Great book you just can't put down.
This was an awesome book. Bullying comes in all forms. Anna has been the butt of everyone's jokes for as long as she could remember. The thing is she has done nothing to warrant it except being larger than they think she should be. Instead of retaliating she built a wall around herself. I like to say that the wall protected her from hurt but it is obvious it didn't. As she and Evan become an item I was often exasperated with her responses to him. Then it hit me that she really had no reason to trust anyone. This is an inspiring book. It showed how people can change if they truly want to. It also showed how difficult change could be. I absolutely love the way the book ended. I really didn't expect it, yet it seemed like that was the way it should have ended. The characters in this book were spot on. I was not a fan of the "f-bomb" being dropped throughout the book. This was a personal point for me. It was not so terrible that it made the book a bad read. I just didn't feel it was a necessary addition to the work. I would not hesitate to read more by this author. It was very authentic. I would definitely recommend this book.
I really did enjoy this. It was thought provoking and eye opening. While at first, when reading, I wasn't sure if I really liked Anna. The victim of verbal abuse at school, she kept this shell around her and tried to let everything bounce off of her, being used to it since middle school all for being a plus size girl (and not that much more plus size). At first, this kind of annoyed me. I had wanted to see her softer side. It wasn't until I finished the book and actually thought about it that I realized just how strong Anna really was. She never let her tormentors see her cry. For the most part.

This was hard to read at times. But I'm sure it's realistic. I never went through what Anna was, nor was I one of those people in school that victimized others. I felt bad for Anna and I was glad to see that Evan get a slap upside the head for the way he's treated Anna for so long.

I wasn't expecting to see a romance out of this one. But it was sweet and endearing. Evan's transformation is what made the book. It really did. It showed that people can change (while most wouldn't) but it shows that not everyone is willing to keep doing things when they know them to be wrong. Evan was brave, although I'm sure he didn't feel that way at first, and he was strong, to stand up for what he believed in, even if it meant going up against all of those he had previously considered friends.I highly recommend everyone read this book. It was well written and the story is about one amazing journey of two people. This is definitely worth reading.
