So firstly i want to start off by saying i LIKED the book .... however i gave it only 2 stars for a reason .... it was 80% Nero and Vincent.
Large parts of this book could simply have been copy and paste and most of the rest was just chloes view on past situations. Simply put there just wasnt enough new material. Now if the book hadnt been marketed as if it was a new story i might have been okay with this, but the problem is for nearly the last year the author has been marketing chloe as the final choice between two made men.
THERE WAS NO CHOICE. She ran from one and was kidnapped by the other.
Now i love cliffhangers it allows my imagenation to run wild while i await the next in a series but this cliffhanger only makes me feel cheated. Its placed so you finally think your getting to the part of the story you waited all this time for then BAM ... cliffhanger. Nothing note worthy has happened in the story then it just ends when finally something new and interesting comes along. The book reads like a prequel. Its the story of how we get to the actual story except its come out before the actual story and we have to pay full price for it....
Now there are good points about the book, in particular i liked the last few chapters Amo really came off in a much better light and Chloe and Amo dancing was very sweet. I even liked Luccas suprise move at the end which makes more sense after you realise how dark and twisted he actually is, ending it when Sarah Brianne did i think will come back to haunt her
If i had any advice for the author on how to salvage this situation id say add a few more chapters after the cliffhanger to give the readers some clue as to whats going on and to stop the feeling that we have just paid good money for a rehash of your old books, then rerelease the novel. As for next time you feel like writing a prequel make sure you adjust market expectations so we know what we are getting.
The major reason i gave this book 2 star was because it was dishonest, if it was marketed and sold as the prequel it is id have given it 4 or 5 cause Sarah Brianne truly is a talented author.

I was so disappointed in this book. I have waited for months to read this book.

I know it is a 2 part series which is fine but the first book is 75 percent of Nero/Vincent retelling but in Chloe's point of view. Sarah said we would know who she ended up with but all Chloe does is tell Amo you need to find someone else to love. There is nothing romantic that happens with them except for a little kiss. Lucca is only in the book for a couple chapters and 1/2 of it is flash backs. I guess When Chloe was heading out of town Lucca kidnapped her and that is her happily ever after and the next book will be part 2 about their journey. This was a waste of my energy and I am so disappointed.
I feel like I've just wasted $4 and several hours of my life. All I can think is "What did I just read??" I absolutely LOVED the first 2 books and have re-read them both multiple times. I've been counting down the days for this release. But. The whole story was just flashbacks and retold scenes I've already read. Luca was barely in it and I felt like he was shown as a shady character that was only in the story to create a supposed love triangle. This whole book felt like a filler that was rushed and published so that the book would be out there to give the author time to create the "real" Chloe story. I'm so disappointed that I doubt I'll buy the next one.
It was just Nero from Chloe's point of view until the last 15% of the book! Some chapters were only a page long and I honestly feel like I was scammed $3.99. I don't understand why this book took so long to write when it was basically her first book all over again! I mean pushing a books release date multiple time for this? I am so disappointed I waited a year for this book and a little wary of anything else this author writes 😔

I read your Facebook post telling your fans all about how people who haven't even read your book are giving this only one star. Well let me tell you something....Yes I did in fact read your book. I loved the first two books in the series. I love the dark and twisted way you create your stories. This one book, however, I did not like. It deserves my star rating..

My first thoughts were this
Wow - I thought this would be a book about Chloe, Amo, and Lucca. It's not... This is just Chloe's point of view from the scenes in the first two books. We only get little snippets of new stuff and by snippets I mean like a chapter or two. Pointless book and a waste of money. I know this is a setup for the next book but in my opinion this should have never been written. The snippets I was talking about in this book should have just been a prologue in the next book.

My thoughts now remain the same. I was really looking forward to reading this but for $3.99 for story we already read but in a different POV doesn't work for me. Especially when you made it seem like it would be the beginning of Chloe's story. This was no such thing. Had all the parts we already read been eliminated this would have been a great prologue or even novella.
